Making the Photo: Weaving the Warp

Welcome to the September 2026 episode of “Making the Photo” by Dear Bubbles! For this month’s show, to get you excited about autumn possibilities, I share how I created "Weaving the Warp" from Acadia National Park in October 2024. Specifically, I cover how I started with a static, pretty, yet "snoozefest" of an image, but leveraged intentional camera movement (ICM), specifically a "zoom pull," to convey a sense of motion and energy that better matched my radiating joy for hiking along the carriage roads among the gorgeous fall colors.
