Making the Photo: Georgia’s Spirit Lives On

Welcome to the May 2026 episode of “Making the Photo” by Dear Bubbles! This month, we take a peek at "Georgia's Spirit Lives On," a photograph I made while teaching at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico, on a Sheography workshop in May 2025. Hear why it’s important to remove your polarizer when photographing rainbows and gain tips on:
  1. Keeping your images sharp while handholding at slower shutter speeds
  2. Thinking about foreground (maybe differently than we’ve been taught…)
  3. Removing distracting elements (or not)
  4. Composing with The Visual Journey (intention, attention, orientation, and engagement) in mind.
